This drum and guitar duo packs a punch powerful enough to blow your mustache off.
How two people can generate that much sound, and be so bloody catchy and cool is beyond belief.
Being in the forefront of Scandinavian noise rock the last couple of years, Barren Womb can’t seem to release a single dud, every release being bigger and better than the last. And their latest Chemical Tardigrade album is their best work yet, being absolutely filthy crisp and filled to the brim with anger, noise and absolute chaos.
With drums barrage galore, a funky guitar and raspy hellish vocals, they’ll serve you a blueprint to survive the nihilistic world we live in. Theme-wise they’re not afraid to ask the system to stick it where the sun doesn’t shine, and give a big middle finger to the man.
Speaking of Chemical Tardigrade the band says it best themselves:
‘This record is equally a celebration of the frail yet vigorous concept of living, an expressive act of exorcism, emotionally and musically.‘
And if that doesn’t sound like the soundtrack of our lives (not the band) I don’t know what does.
This f’cking rules.
